AGM and Podcasting MP3 players etc
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGThe AGM came and went with some good discussion on the National Science Week contribution. It seems likely that we will be putting together a presentation using the "picaxe" processor.
PodCasting, iPods, MP3 Players, USB Flash RAM Drives, etc.Following the AGM we had a talk on various mobile devices that are available primarily for listening to music. While music is their intended use they are increasingly being used to listen to "podcasts" - audio programs put together by anyone with an interest on topics ranging from home brewing beer to updates from NASA. A couple of podcasts were played to give an idea of what they are. Lots of good discussion on the features (and deficiencies) of the current breed of MP3 players. We didn't get much time to get to looking at how podcasts are produced and what gear you will require if you want to get into this fascinating area. If you become the star of your very own show perhaps you can give a presentation to us on the methods you used. LinksAndrew Braund |
